GSI were awarded the fire stopping package to this magnificent historical building in February 2020. The Grade II listed building was being brought back into use as a five-star 125 room luxury hotel including 85 very high-end apartments. The mixed used scheme is now a total 760,000 sqft and includes restaurants, boutique shops, bars and a spa with a gym and pool.

The project offered some challenges with the fire stopping detailing especially within the existing parts of the structure. On average, GSI had a team of eight NVQ Level 2 Fire Stoppers on site from the start of the project in March 2020 to practical completion in December 2023. This included full time supervision and a site-based Contracts Manager. The total value of the fire protection package came in at over £2.5 million with all the works being completed using the Nullifire product range.
